Kona is part of my wanderlust collection which is inspired by places I have or want to visit.

While I’ve been to several Hawaiian Islands, I’ve never had the chance to visit the big island of Hawaii.

I was inspired to create this piece after seeing pictures of cooled lava after a recent eruption. It is a jet black, highly textural piece, finished with a matte varnish.

Made using painted cotton canvas strips and several layers of acrylic mediums, it measures 24” x 30” and comes ready to hang with a light maple floating frame.
